(1) bounce, a verb <bounce a ball>, to present (as an idea) to another person – to rebound or reflect, to recover from a blow or a defeat quickly, to walk with a springing step (2) ology, a suffix derived from the Greek logos, meaning the "study of" or the "specialty in" a given scientific or field.

Diane Dalton Warren opened BounceOLOGY, a project consulting firm, in 2009. She strives to maximize her 30 years of management, sales, communications, marketing, fundraising and coaching experience. She defines “bounceology” as the “science and art” of bouncing in business (and life). After retiring from a media and corporate career, she does what she loves. She bounces in (when invited of course!) to businesses, non-profits, new ventures to help CEOs and entrepreneurs fix problems. She maximizes their strengths and makes the most of their team. Sometimes the work is strategic and sometimes it is tactical and messy. In all cases it’s precise, bold and effective. She’ll tackle the chaos around critical projects and initiatives — and use this logical work flow to study, recommend and activate. She delivers results and usually everyone has some fun! Diane Warren is Founder and President of Bounce, a SOLUTIONS management practice. Bounce helps executives and client companies solve problems, activate initiatives and “bounce” to results.

Diane draws out the best in individuals, she thrives on learning new industries, she makes sense out of complicated situations, she has a remarkable energy level always over delivering and she maximizes situations taking projects from good to great!

Diane launched Bounceology, a project consulting firm, in 2009. She uses her 30 years of management, sales, communication, marketing, fundraising and coaching experience to support her client companies and non-profits. The Bounce engagement usually starts where there’s a problem which then leads to a plan where Diane guides change, responds to dynamic conditions and drives ideas that lead to results.

She often performs her role behind the scenes, like a Chief of Staff, using her positive energy and tactical activities to improve the situation. Every project leads to measurable results. She maximizes the team, the work is usually strategic, tactical and sometimes messy.

Bounce has a select roster of clients. Those in broadcast, media and telecom include consulting Clear Channel Media & Entertainment/ Government Affairs, running operations for the HD Digital Radio Alliance, managing MMTC’s Brokering and broadcast operations and product introduction work for GEO Broadcast Solutions. Bounce also does communications, CEO search work and opening planning for the soon to open (2014) The Tobin Performing Arts Center in San Antonio. Diane also works with other non-profits, entrepreneurs and new technology companies in Texas and around the US.

BOUNCE projects range from revenue and operations re-organizations, staff coaching to activating special programs. Diane works with both innovative companies and non-profits who wish to maximize their product delivery, communication, strategic, revenue opportunities. Diane brokers media and telecom assets and assists buyers with their business plan to run strong, profitable organizations. Diane engages at her client’s requests to collaborate and to activate programs inside and outside of their organizations.

Diane has held the position of President/Operations of the HD Digital Radio Alliance for 6 years. Diane facilitated the initial $230m annual consumer campaigns and now coordinates committee work for the engineering technology and programming and marketing. The HD Radio Alliance is a joint initiative of leading radio broadcasters chartered with the rollout of HD Digital Radio which is especially important in the new digital dashboards of all cars. The Alliance members are the CEOs of major broadcasting companies.

Diane founded www.RadioAE.com , the first subscription interactive BEST PRACTICES web site in the radio industry providing ideas, information and tools for radio sales professionals on-line. In 1998 Clear Channel bought her company. Diane built and managed the first decade of CC’s intranet portal, the CCRC. The portal set the standard for useful, practical and actionable sharing of best practices in all disciplines of the company, particularly in revenue development. Many consultants have written about this unique proprietary resource center which is still in operation inside the company today.

Clear Channel’s CEO Mark Mays recruited Diane to his corporate team as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing serving corporate and four divisions operating in 63 countries with 49,000 employees.

Diane also managed lobbying, PR, communications, development of the “best practices intranet portal”, planned corporate events and published annual reports for CC. Diane managed the Clear Channel Relief Fund which was founded in 2001 in response to the attacks on 9/11 resulting in worldwide donations of $20m. She launched the new Clear Channel brand and logo worldwide in 2002, the Clear Channel “C” mark is used and seen worldwide today. Diane retired from Clear Channel in 2009 and remains engaged with the company as a consultant.

Diane was one of the few Clear Channel corporate executive members who had operational experience; this experience was very helpful as Clear Channel completed the series of 168 acquisitions; the biggest mergers in media in history. She was the CEO’s go-to person to get things done, where there was chaos – she created order and a plan.

Diane built various tools and initiatives to drive revenue, to build communication, to share best practices and to build synergies. Diane managed collaborative events in key Clear Channel markets where the key leadership of all 4 divisions worked together to build specific plans to grow company which led to $40m in new revenue. These tested and proven tools and resources have become useful in other business and industries.

For almost 20 years Diane worked at radio stations in sales and management in; Dallas (Shamrock Broadcasting), Philadelphia (Lyn Broadcasting), Washington (Greater Media and US Radio), Raleigh (US Radio), Cincinnati (Dalton Group) and Atlanta (CapCities, ABC, Disney – then Granum, Infinity, CBS).  

She facilitated change inside a radio station maximizing the business assets, operational capabilities and opportunities in media sales. Diane’s managers often said, “She sells everything that isn’t nailed down”.

This radio experience also provided the opportunity to work with national, regional and local advertisers. Here Diane fined tuned her ability to identify the problem faced by a business owner and return with a solution. She activated creative campaigns that worked.

Diane is certified in international etiquette and protocol from the Protocol School of Washington DC. She holds certificates in training and leadership from various institutes. She is a believer and is qualified to coach using Gallup’s Strength Finders. She has been a guest speaker at many industry and company events, participated on panels, written articles and she can craft a mean “to-do list” to take any project to success.

Diane graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park and is pursuing graduate studies.

Diane has been honored in a variety of ways in her career but is most proud of being named one the “Most Influential Women in Radio” in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 while building Bounce. She is engaged in numerous causes and non-profits and will attend the Fall 2013 class of Masters Leadership San Antonio.

Diane has two grown children; Nicholas is completing his degree from UIW in Sports Management and Christina is in Trinity University studying Psychology. They are her best “work”! Christina named the company and they both bounce with charm and determination!
